David Webb
DAVID WEBB lives in what used to be a rural area of western Pennsylvania. Born in Indiana and raised in Ohio, he received a B.S. degree
from Baldwin-Wallace College and a Master of Forestry from Duke University. He spent thirty-five years in the field of wood coatings and wood preservation, and more than thirty of his technical articles on those subjects were published.
A longtime competitive target shooter, Dave has written more than forty articles for
The American Rifleman, Handloader and Rifle magazines, and has contributed pieces to both
Gun Digest and Handloader's Digest.
He has bred, trained, field-trialed, shown, and hunted Brittanys for some thirty years. He and his wife, Emma, are now "empty-nesters" whose three sons are pursuing their own careers. However, each has a Brittany of his own, and their youngest son is actively involved in field trials. There are currently four
Brittanys,
Dewey, Bear, Echo, and Herb
in the Webb household.
David edited both A Feisty Little Pointing Dog and Empty
Collars and collaborated with host of professionals to co-author with Martha
Greenlee The Brittany - Amateurs Training with Professionals.
